Can you believe it! We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We have been on the run all month, and Ryan and I haven't really been able to spend time together so it was really nice to celebrate our anniversary. Ryan and I got to spend the day at Balboa Island walking around and just enjoying the view along with a little trip to the candy store for a pit stop for salt water taffy. We had a romantic evening at the Rusty Pelican with a great view of the ocean.
We had so much fun, just reminiscing of the past year and all the adventures we went through. From surgeries to new jobs, schools and so forth. It was so much but an interesting roller coaster. We cannot wait to see what the next year holds nor the many years to follow. We are so madly in love with each other as we were the first day we met and on our wedding day.
We not only celebrated on our actual one year anniversary but the Tuesday following with a amazing dinner and a trip to Broadway to see the production Mary Poppins. This picture to the right is from The Cellar where we had a delicious dinner meal. The best we ever had, it was like we were eating at Chef Ramsey's restaurant. The food was amazing, I had a pork chop with a delicious side of bacon, potatoes, carrots and some other stuff and it was delicious. Ryan had a New York Steak with potatoes augratin. We had a terrific time and I would recommend it to any one who would want a romantic setting and great service.
After our amazing dinner we went to the Broadway showing of Mary Poppins. It was amazing and such a great experience to see a childhood favorite come to life in front of your eyes. It had been so long since I had been to a Broadway production. I had such a great experience and so did Ryan.
*A little side note as we were walking to our seats, a lady and her daughter kept looking and me and talking kinda loud talking about my dress and how pretty it was. I just laughed because they realized I saw them and they said sorry for talking so loud about my dress. I just laughed and said it was okay and that I got it from Windsor. lol.
This was the amazing water we got to drink at the Cellar. We asked for regular water and got this, we were kinda surprised but I guess at French restaurants this is what they serve. lol These are a small look at some of the flowers Ryan got me for our anniversary. He did such a great job at picking them out he even got me some Irish Lilly belles which were so pretty.
Our amazing romantic corner we had where we were able to eat and talk in private. It was so amazing to be able to enjoy our special day and dinner in private.
Our dessert, it was so good, I didn't get to eat much of it since I was so full from the dinner we had just eaten but Ryan was able to finish it. lol
The Flowers Ryan got me! So beautiful.

MCAT is over!
Hi Everyone,
So last Thursdays was my Mcat and to be honest it was not as bad as I thought. I feel really good about my score and hope it is in the high 20's or low 30's. The highest score you can get is a 45 but that is impossible to get. After the test I just felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders but physically I couldn't move my body. I just wanted to go home and sleep, Ryan was laughing at me because I couldn't make coherent sentences.
We have to wait about a month to get my scores back and from there we can see what is going to happen next. We are going to have to wait a year before applying to Medical school because application fee's are really expensive and right now we just done have a $1,000 laying around. For now we are enjoying be MCAT free and waiting to see where God is going to open a door for us.

A Catch Up on Life
So it has been awhile since I have posted to the blog. So when I last posted I discussed our New Puppy who continues to grow and be a pest. lol. We are thankful that he doesn't chew our furniture, or computer cords but he does make a mess and sometimes a little accident here and there. So my birthday passed and my family and I all went out to dinner and it was great to see everyone and share my special day. We spent the night at my mom's house and Ryan got up early before I did and went to McDonald's and got me a egg MC muffin, orange juice, and hash browns. This meal was a tradition when I was younger that my parents did for me growing up. It was really sweet for him to do that and carry on the tradition.
Ryan and I are both in School and having a great time, we constantly are running around to class and work. As of now I am out of work, looking for a job since school got out at the college I was working out. I am ending my first quarter tomorrow which is so nice to be done and get to rest and focus on my MCAT. School was great, I really enjoyed my Environmental Health class but not so much my Global Health class. Global health was very interesting but it a lot of work and consumed more time then it should have. Ryan did great this past semester, getting all A's and continuing to do such a great job! He started another semester and working really hard as he always does in school.
We did not end up moving, due to our life being so busy and us not finding a suitable place to live for the price and location. We recently added more to our apartment and moved around the furniture and it looks great. Ryan put up some Tangled photos that he framed for me for my Birthday above our Couch and they really add color to our walls.
We are preparing for the coming up week in MCAT mode and how that will plan out and what we are going to do after. Ryan has been so kinda in helping me out with studying and waking me up early to prepare and get accustomed to how test day will look like. We both will be thrilled when MCAT is over and we can focus on other things that we enjoy like our upcoming celebration of our One Year. Ryan has been planning that without help from me. He is the brains in our relationship and really knows how to plan. He has given me what I am suppose to do but and wear but that is it. I am planning a trip for the two of us for a weekend trip in the fall that is all on me and I'm excited to take him on a trip that I have planned without his help.
We both are doing well and love being married and still act as a newly married couple and love being with each other. We are still actively involved in our Church teaching 1&2 grade and love it. We cannot wait to see what else the Lord has in store for us and the next adventure we will be undertaking together.

New addition to our Family
Before you all jump to conclusions, it's not a BABY its a brand new PUPPY. He is a full breed Cocker Spaniel, he has so much energy and keeps Ryan and I on the go 24/7. We finally got him to sleep through the night and learn to use the bathroom outside and not on my carpet. That took a little while for him to realize the outside was not the inside. To me a baby is less work then a puppy and I will stick by that answer. lol
We bought him a few toys to help him with chewing but he seems to really like a measuring cup and a empty peanut can. What can you do.
Well beside the new addition to our family, we both have been very busy. Ryan has been working really hard and going to school. I have been taking a MCAT course two days a week which has been going really well but a lot of work. I have also been getting all the paper work done to pursue a Masters degree in Nutritional Epidemiology at Loma Linda. It's been a very busy couple months for the both of us and it doesn't look like its going to ease up until the summer. (crossing fingers)
We can't wait for the coming months, so much is going on. We have the girls graduation, spring breaks, school, MCAT (June 16 2011), moving to a new apartment, new job opportunities and celebrating our ONE YEAR of marriage. Super exciting. Oh and its almost my birthday and I cannot wait to see what is going to happen. Ryan has been acting a little odd so I think he has a plan up his sleeve

First Valentines Day Together
February 14 the day people show their love for their significant other. I love this day only because its the one day you can show everyone you love them or care about them with cheesy cards. Ryan and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day with a home cook meal that Ryan prepared for us. It was very nice, he cooked everything from scratch, we had steak with mash-potatoes, broccoli with a cheese sauce and baked-potatoes. It was so nice to sit in our pajamas and eat dinner. (Sorry no pictures this time)
After dinner Ryan sat through a chick flick being the AMAZING Husband that he is and then I was the good wife and watched Ong Bak 3 which Ryan picked out. lol We had a great first Valentine's day, and can't wait for years to come. I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day as well.

Almost to a Year
Yes, it is true we made it to almost a year. We are excited, a lot has happened in just a few short months. We both took a trip down memory lane and just laughed at all the things that happened. We went out to celebrate six months of marriage but more just a date night we hadn't had in a really long time. We went to El Torito right by our house. We got all dressed up, it was so much fun, reminded me of when we were dating getting ready to go out. lol.
He even surprised me with flowers. They were so beautiful and just perfect to our evening. We had so much fun talking reliving our past six months and talking about the future.
We ended the night with a bowl of deep-fried ice cream, which wasn't actually that great but still good, or maybe I just told myself that. lol
We look forward to many moments like this for many years to come and can't wait to hit our first year of marriage! Only another six months to-go.
Enjoy our funny moments of the night. We had a great time and the best part was, we didn't have to pay for all our fun, Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for the gift card. We had a great time.

Our First Christmas/New Years
The holiday season came so fast and we were in shock that we had been married that long. We were so surprised but excited that we were able to decorate our home for the festive season. The weekend before Christmas we spent it with my family exchanging gifts and spending time with one another. It was so much fun, they kids loved their gifts so much. We got the three little ones, Nerf guns which turned into a Nerf gun fight with all five of us. Their was Nerf darts in the Christmas tree and the floor. My Mom could not stop laughing and video taping all of us running around. We spent the night and then left to head back home to get ready to pack for our road trip to Oregon with Ryan's family. Our First Christmas was so much fun. We woke up to the smell of Coffee and Ryan jumping on his parents bed, then Ryan coming back to our room jumping on me waking me up. It was a little different than the Christmas I was use to. Usually it was the kids running into my room waking me up to open presents.
We all got up and opened presents and we got the best gift ever a BABY!!!!! Of course it was not a real one yet, but good enough for now.
She giggles and jumps and coo's, she is like a baby except all the getting up in the middle of the night or feeding her and changing her. We had a very relaxing day and got to enjoy being with the family and spend time exploring nature. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner, and after dinner we all got our hair cut by our WONDERFUL Grandma. We were sad to see the night end because we knew we were leaving in the morning to drop off Josh.
On our way to drop Josh off we experienced snow falling and rain and hail. It was so beautiful but also weird to see all within a few hours. We dropped Josh off near Salem, and said our goodbyes and began our week long adventure touring Oregon.
We had a cottage by the ocean with a beautiful view all around. The only issue was our cottage lacked a working heater. lol John tried to fix it but we needed a new one so that night we snuggled with multiple blankets, by multiple I mean like 6 blankets. The next day we headed to a aquarium where you could actually feed the seals.
We had such a great time feeding the seals and seeing all the different sea wild life. The Seals were great they made so much noise and were little characters. To get our attention they would slap their stomachs and swim right up to the cage.
That night we had heat which was so nice and we were very warm and weren't having to have 6 blankets. We played a new game that Ryan and I got Carol, it's a version of phase ten but called phase ten twist which was a lot of fun.
We took a visit to the Tillamook cheese factory which was very interesting. I have never been to a place that had so much cheese. Joseph would have loved to be there to eat all of it. We got to see how the cheese was made and packaged and the history of the factory and company. After our tour we got ice cream which to me was the best I have ever eaten. We left Tillamook to go to the best store EVER. Fred Myer, can I just say that Target and Walmart does not even compare to the store. They have everything, it is a full grocery store, clothing store and a hardware store, it was huge. The one we went to was two stories, I could not believe how big it was and just how many varieties the store contained. The only bad part is they are only in Oregon, which is so sad.
Alright, I know this is a long blog, sorry about that but we did so much to just skim by it all. Our next adventure included a bigger aquarium which included not only sea life but reptiles as well. We saw so much, from huge snakes, fish, sharks to piranhas and many more.
It was such a huge aquarium, bigger then some of the long beach ones that I have been too. We got to touch some of the plant and animal life, which made me a little scared because I didn't want to get stung or anything.
The next day we took day off from traveling and went to the beach which was nice to just walk around and relax. The boys made us a bridge so we could cross the fresh water stream that was over flowing due to all the rain and snow they had at the camp site. We walked along the beach to this spot with a ton of rocks and tide pools. There were so many anemone's and star fish Ryan had a blast finding them all.
We went exploring like we normally did and got soaked, well I did not Ryan. A huge sneaker wave came out of no where and hit us, it was really funny but scary because I didn't want to fall off the rock into a puddle of water. The beach was a lot of fun, we saw so much and enjoyed the fresh air.
We spent the rest of the day, with one another and playing games and eating dinner and enjoying our last day at the cottage before we picked up Josh.
We were sad to say goodbye but very excited to pick up Josh and celebrate the new year. We picked up Josh and spent New Years with each other playing card games and going to dinner at one of the best places ever. Izzy's. It was a huge buffet dinner that had a wide variety of foods. You can never go wrong with an all you can eat.
New Years day we went to the Sea Lion caves, which was really interesting. It was a huge cave with sea lion's taking refuge in this cave from the weather and the pounding waves. They were so up close and personal, we couldn't touch them but they were close enough.
It was so loud, they were making so much noise communicating to one another. They were also fighting for territory which was sad to see the little sea lion's get kicked off the rock to let the bigger sea lion's come up.
After we went to the Sea Lion Caves we headed to the National Animal Park. I've been to many parks but not one that let you touch the animals. The animals were so cute but they let the goats roam free which I did not like. I was scared the goats were going to ram me or something, so every time they came close to me I had Ryan scare them off.
We got to hold a possum and pet a baby leopard, it was so neat. They also had this cat which I can't remember then name of but it wasn't the nicest, he swatted at my hand which scared me because I got nervous he was going to claw my hand. We also got to play feed the bears and I think they are called wallaby's.
After our long day at the park we headed to a hotel to spend the night and head home the next day. Our journey home was very long and funny, they had a lot of freeway closers due to the weather conditions which made our journey home a little difficult but we made the best of it with our card games in the car and game boys. We were sad to see it end but glad to be off the road and home. We had a great New Years and Christmas. Our first road trip as a married couple was a blast and excited for our next one.
